Marinha Beach

One of the 10 most beautiful beaches in Europe and also one of the 100 best in the world.

Located along the coast between Carvoeiro and Armação de Pêra, this beach is one of the gems of the Algarve and boasts golden sands, crystal clear water and some of the best cliffs and rock formations in the surroundings. There is a vast car park at the top and then head for the steps and go all the way down to the beach.

Praia da Marinha is not a particularly large beach and in the summer months it can be very busy so it is a good idea to get there early and go down the steps before the hottest time of the day. A great place for photography aficionados, but not so suitable for those who think the steps are a challenge, especially on the way back up.

How to get there?
About 15 minutes by car from the village of Armação de Pêra, the best way to get to Praia da Marinha is on the EM530-1 towards Porches. After the EM530-1, take the Estrada do Poço Santo until you reach the EM1154. Continue on EM1154 until you reach Estrada da Marinha.
